Straelen is a municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia near the border with the Netherlands, approx. 10 km north-east of Venlo. The City of Straelen will develop these new civic offices on the south-east corner of the former city walls and thereby generate a new town hall square. The new structure takes up existing street alignments. The building will be constructed of cross laminated timber construction to minimise its carbon footprint.
