This new pedestrian and cycle bridge, with a single elegant sweep, fits into the course of the route along the Dalke river and thus becomes an important and natural extension of the existing Dalke promenade. The bridge bestrides the B 61 and the Dalke river with 5 even spans of 32.5 meters. The bridge structure consists of a statically optimized and precisely shaped, variable steel hollow box section of Corten steel, extending above and below the deck. The railing of steel round bars, which holds a handrail made of a flat steel at the height of 1.3 meters on both sides, offers a high degree of transparency to the surrounding landscape.
