This project is for a large family home at Vico Road, Dalkey, Co Dublin on a steep site that enjoys a dramatic view of the see to the south-east. The design proposal carves the house into the hillside so that a critical public view remains uninterrupted from above. The primary living floor is suspended over six bedrooms to optimise the view over the densely wooded site. Dalkey Hill to the west overshadows the site in the late afternoon - to compensate for this a central atrium gathers sunlight into the plan.
